DR. JON STARR

After growing up on the San Francisco Peninsula, Dr. Starr pursued his undergraduate, medical, and residency training at the University of California, Davis. He completed his surgical training at Harvard Medical School and was promoted to Harvard faculty in 1993. In 1995 Dr. Starr returned to California and joined the Stanford Medical School faculty, where he established and directed the Division of Dermatologic and Laser Surgery. He started his private practice in 1999 and focuses on the management of complex skin cancers, with a special emphasis on Mohs micrographic surgery. Dr. Starr remains on the Stanford Medical School faculty as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty Assistant Professor where he teaches medical students and residents advanced surgical techniques.

DR. TARA MILLER

Dr. Tara Miller grew up in Texas where she completed her undergraduate studies at Rice University and medical school at Baylor College of Medicine. After finishing her pediatrics residency at Texas Children's Hospital, Dr. Miller moved to California for her dermatology residency at the University of California San Francisco. She continued her training at UCSF with a Mohs surgery and procedural dermatology fellowship under the direction of Dr. Roy Grekin. Dr. Miller is board certified in both Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery and Dermatology and is consistently named one of Top Doctors. While her main clinical focus is Mohs surgery and facial reconstruction, Dr. Miller also performs cosmetic procedures. When not treating patients, Dr. Miller enjoys running, biking on her Peloton, traveling, and raising her young family.

DR. CAROLINE DOO, MD

Dr. Doo was born and raised in Fresno, CA. She completed a prestigious accelerated medical program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she graduated magna cum laude and was inducted as a junior member to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her dermatology residency and Mohs micrographic surgery fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. During residency, she was awarded the resident teaching award as well as the dermatopathology award. She is now excited to be back in her home state. She specializes in Mohs surgery and aims to provide compassionate and personalized care to each of her patients. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, trying new foods, photography, traveling, and exploring the great outdoors (with adequate sun protection of course).

NANCY HSIEH, PA-C

Nancy Hsieh, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant with 10+ years of dermatology experience who received her Masters in Health Sciences from Duke University and her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. During her studies, she found her passion lay with treating dermatologic issues especially skin cancers and thus pursued a career in dermatology practice. After completing her graduate degree studies at Duke University, she worked at a general dermatology practice in Virginia before moving back to the Bay Area where she grew up. She loves being a part of the Peninsula Dermatologic Surgery team and looks forward to helping all patients!
